I have found the template for editing profiles in the asset tree and have created a new template.  Now I'm not sure how to set the "editProfile" content to use this newtemplate.  (Or in general, how to set templates for other operations)  Any suggestions?

Glad to see that yet again, support is non-existent. This is a valid question. I have the same issue so if someone could answer it would be appreciated.

Clue 1:  There are no configuration file options or WebGUI Settings to do this:

Clue 2:  There's an RFE to let site admins select edit and view user profile templates.

This can't be done, at least as of wG 7.1.  If you want to customize it, you have to edit the existing one in place.

If you really want this, throw some karma against the RFE that I mentioned above:

Support is on a subscription basis, btw. Those of us who do provide support do so on a volunteer basis. We don't work for plainblack.com, and we don't have all the answers.

BTW: Are you talking about which template applies to ?op=auth;method=displayAccount or which template applies to ?op=editProfile ?

Either way, that STYLE template is chosen in Admin on, Admin Console, Settings, UI, User Function Style (applies to all of the non-standard templates.)

If you're talking about how to change the fields in the User Profile, that's a different issue.

ETA: If you just don't like the links (order, size, list, etc.) provided on the ?op=auth;method=displayAccount,  determine what you do like and make an article that contains the links you want, and change the username hyperlink to go to the article instead of  ?op=auth;method=displayAccount

Here are the links provided on the page:
?op=switchOffAdmin
?op=auth;method=init
?op=editProfile
?op=viewProfile;uid=/\#;
?op=viewInbox
?op=redeemSubscriptionCode
?op=auth;method=logout

Of course, you could also view source on the form to change password if you'd like to implement that as well.
