When WebGUI 5.0.0 launches (December 2002) it will include the utilities from the IHP Kit. Previously the IHP Kit was available for a $200/year subscription fee.
The IHP Kit is a suite of utilities designed to ease the life of the WebGUI system administrator. In includes several import utilities, an upgrade utility to make WebGUI upgrades easier, and a whole pile of scheduler plug-ins.
We have decided to merge the IHP Kit into WebGUI 5 for a number of reasons:
It instantly adds a whole host of features to version 5.
We have recommitted ourselves to the GNU GPL in that we believe that all software should be free.
We've had a huge number of requests asking us to make it part of the default distribution. Our users didn't mind paying for it, but they didn't like downloading the IHP Kit separately.
Although the IHP Kit was a powerful suite of tools, it's feature-set was not benefiting from the open source development commmunity.
