Hi,

I am trying to install 0.83 Window version on Win XP but getting the following error message..

C:\data\wre\sbin>perl wreconsole.pl
Please contact me at:
        http://hoslc24qwd1:60834/
Can't call method "process" on an undefined value at /data/wre/lib/WRE/File.pm line 352.

I have checked the File.pm and line 352 is looking for Template and this exists in site/lib.

I will really appreciate if some can let me know what I am missing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Did I get that right and are you trying to install the 0.8.3 version of the WRE for windows?

Did you use the PDF by Signalmountain?

What version of activeperl did you use?

I'm installing the WRE version 0.8.3 on windows xp myself now to see if I'm getting the same error.

I just used the Signalmountain PDF to install the 0.8.3 WRE, but it didn't really help me. I got another error that stated:

Can't locate File/Which.pm in @INC

I had a clean Windows XP Professional installation so I don't thing the Signalmountain document is a good startingpoint. Trying furter...

So I uninstalled activeperl, deleted the c:\perl directory, deleted the c:\data\wre directory, unzipped the wre directory again.

Started the

Command Prompt.bat
and it ran like a charm.

Could you try again?

Did you get the right zipfile?

Hi Koen,

I did as you suggested. Deleted Perl and removed data directory and then installed wre-0.8.3-windows-xp-ia32.zip and my active perl version is -> ActivePerl-5.10.0.1002-MSWin32-x86-283697.zip . So, I am not sure whether this is the right version or not. But after installing and extraction wre into data directory, I ran the same comman prompt and now getting the following error message.

Can't locate File/Which.pm in @INC

Please let me know if I am doing any thing wrong. I also read the pdf doc and honestly the pdf is little bit confusing, might have some section at bottom for windows installation but should elaborate more detailed.

Thanks in advance for your help.
