I am trying to upgrade to WRE 0.8.4 following the upgrade.txt instructions. I stopped the services, extracted 0.8.4 on top of /data/wre and ran the wreupgrade.pl program, it doesn't give any reference to 0.8.4 though, is this OK?

Looking for upgrades...
    Found upgrade executable from 0.8.1 to 0.8.2.
    Found upgrade executable from 0.8.2 to 0.8.3.
    Found upgrade executable from 0.8.0 to 0.8.1.
Complete.

Then trying to install the Perl modules identified in the 0.8.4 errata, Devel::StackTrace installs fine, but Scalar::List::Utils says warning: Cannot install Scalar::List::Utils, don't know what it is. Class::Data::Inheritable was already at the latest version.

I thought I was the only one having this problem.

I hope someone from PlainBlack could point us in the right direction.

the upgrade script 0.8.3->0.8.4 seems to be missing..

WRE 0.8.4 is not really complete. As far as I understand JT is going to release a 0.8.5 version of the WRE that does have all the bit's and pieces you need to:

  • run WebGUI 7.5.21 and later right away
  • upgrade from 0.8.3

It will be after the WUC though, so please have some patience.
