Interactive Technical Designer

Interactive Technical Designer

Job Description

We're looking for a jack of all trades technical designer. What does that mean? Well, we need people with design skills that can hack HTML and CSS without using a graphical tool like Dreamweaver. We need you to understand when and why to use a gif, jpeg, or png, and how to get the best resolution with the least number of bytes. And we need you to know your way around the entire Adobe Creative Suite as well. If you know how to script javascript or make cool flash apps then your resume will be weighted higher than the rest.

On the job we'll ask you to learn how to use various templating languages. We'll ask you to create innovative web designs, do content publishing tasks, and set up workflow approval processes, and train other people to do what you do. We'll ask you to interface with clients, and maybe even do some light project management work. We'll even ask you to attend and speak at conferences and conventions on our behalf. We need you to love computers and people, and not be afraid to learn new things. What kind of things? All things geeky, of course.

We're not looking for a programmer or a system administrator; we have lots of those on staff. But we're also not looking for your standard web designer either. We like our web designers to be geeks at heart, to love technology, and to try to push their limits in every direction.

This position will be working on projects for extremely high profile clients. Millions of people will see your work every day. If the above sounds like you, and you meet the minimum requirements below then please apply.
