Over the past year, Plain Black Corporation has been making an effort to implement design changes in WebGUI. We began a year ago at the 2008 WebGUI User's Conference by committing staff members to Rogier's template project. This ongoing effort seeks to create more design-friendly and standards-compliant default templates for WebGUI. Several months ago, we announced an upcoming facelift for webgui.org and made our designs available for community input. Now we are taking the next step. Plain Black Corporation and Koen de Jonge/ProcoliX are pleased to announce the 2009 “Design a Theme” contest, an open call for WebGUI theme submissions. Community members are encouraged to submit as many custom designed site themes as they wish. Each and every of the submitted themes will be added to the Bazaar. The main goals of this contest are to vastly increase the amount of available designs for WebGUI users and to promote community members to share their creative works. We will be awarding karmic prizes to every entrant, and have a variety of special prizes for finalists and winners. |
