Tickets for the 2010 WebGUI Users Conference are now on sale! Plain Black is pleased to bring the WUC back to Madison, WI from September 2-3. This year’s presentation schedule is packed with speakers from around the globe representing a variety of government, education, non-profit and business organizations. This is the perfect opportunity to learn from seasoned WebGUI veterans and talk one on one with experts in the community. Registration, a full description of events, and accommodation information can be accessed at www.plainblack.com/wuc.

The 2010 conference will take place over two days, and contain three presentation tracks: Managing WebGUI, Design & Marketing, and Development. In this way attendees can select the presentations best suited to their areas of expertise. The Managing WebGUI track features a question and answer session about managing content, a presentation about how content creation can be simplified through the use of prototypes, and how one organization uses WebGUI to manage community websites. The Design & Marketing track delves a little deeper and provides information on Navigations, designing sites to increase performance, and a number of sessions related to templating and design. The Development track features presentations on developing Android/iPhone applications in WebGUI, Plack, and developing for WebGUI 8.

New this year are a number of open support sessions hosted by Plain Black. The Managing WebGUI and Design & Marketing tracks each have a session set aside for you to bring your questions or problems. Plain Black staff will be on hand to address your issues one on one. Items will be addressed on a first come - first served basis.

This year also features a Lightning Talks session. Anyone in the community may take five minutes to discuss any WebGUI related topic. Time is limited, so a sign-up form must be submitted to participate. To see a full schedule of presentations visit the 2010 WUC Schedule.

Back by popular demand, the day before the WUC kicks off is set aside for the annual Hackathon. Plain Black will once again be providing a room at the Concourse Hotel where community members can meet to collaborate on anything WebGUI related. In the past this has been a great venue for collaborating on projects, as well as getting to know your fellow WebGUI hackers. Keep your eyes on the WUC Wiki for more information.

The 2010 WebGUI Users Conference has a great deal to offer. As always, the presentation schedule is full of exciting new topics, and the experience of meeting face to face with members of the community is invaluable. Tickets are on sale now, and are limited, so don’t miss out on your opportunity to attend. See you in September!
