The 2008 WebGUI Users Conference (WUC) is only 90 days from now, on August 28th and 29th. WebGUI 7.5 goes stable one month earlier, and has the most features ever in a single WebGUI release. Many of these new features, and much more, will be covered in the 30+ hours of presentations at the WUC. This year's conference is presented by 20 expert speakers covering topics such as the new WebGUI Shop, Thingy, Survey 2.0, Gallery, and much more. Three tracks (novice, intermediate, and expert) ensure there is something for everyone. In addition, the new PB&J sessions provide an opportunity to ask any questions you want of the Plain Black staff. There are even several after hours “birds of a feather” sessions lead by members of the WebGUI community. The two days preceding the conference, August 26th and 27th, are reserved for workshops. The content managers workshop walks you through the basics, then covers all the nooks and crannies of WebGUI to help you publish content with confidence. The second workshop will be for designers, and will show you WebGUI's powerful templating and macro systems. You'll learn how to convert a design into a WebGUI style, and how to draw custom navigations. Both of these workshops will have lots of hands on time, and will allow you to work on your own web sites while our experts guide you through each step. Register soon, there are fewer than 10 seats left at each workshop. Early bird registration for the conference is available through July 15th, at a discounted price of $500 per ticket. The workshops are also only $500 each if you register by July 15th. As a bonus, register for one of the workshops and the WUC together for an additional $100 discount, totaling $900. Once these early bird specials end the pair will cost $1,200. The registration fee lets you attend the workshop of your choice, and any sessions you choose to attend at the WUC. It also covers a catered lunch buffet each day. Registrants from all over the country, and even around the globe, have already signed up. Don't miss this chance to network with people who do what you do, to share ideas, and compare notes. And of course, to talk to all the experts in attendance and make contacts you can use throughout the year. The WebGUI Users Conference is held in beautiful Madison, WI, which is conveniently located in the center of the country. Madison offers entertainment to satisfy every interest in the form of music, theatre, comedy, pubs, and over two dozen ethnic restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. Many attendees are extending their stays in Madison to sample the largest farmers market in North America, which is only one block from the hotel on Saturday. On Saturday and Sunday they'll enjoy the Taste of Madison, a food and music festival that features over 30 bands (country, jazz, hip hop, and rock) and dishes from more than 80 area restaurants. Register for the 2008 WebGUI Users Conference today.
