I had a calendar that used to just show a list of events, rather than a month grid. I'd still like to show a month's worth of events, but in a list version - no grid. I don't see how to do that in the new calendar asset.

Thanks

There is no list view any longer. Believe it or not the list view was actually part of the reason that the old calendar performed so poorly. This is because drawing the calendar and drawing the list are two very different things.

Calendar list view can be achieved with a Collaboration System and some custom templates. You don't actually need a calendar to do it.

There is no reason why list view should not be included in the calendar. List of events is perfectly valid way of displaying calendars.

Then please add it to the RFE list.

Or use the print view option (by adding "print=1" URL parameter). That's a list-like template. Or make your own custom template that shows the events in a list instead of the grid.

I realize that those templates are not well-documented. I've set aside a large chunk of time before the next release to work with Colin Kuskie (a member of our WebGUI community) to complete the Calendar documentation that will go out with the next release.

With that documentation, you will be able to create a set of calendar templates that look exactly like the list view you were using before.

Of course, you can add an RFE for WebGUI to come standard with a set of "Calendar List View Templates". Less work for all!

My wonderful new admin has figured out how to do this without losing any calendar information.

Please look at

making event list for calendar in 7.3.11

in the Web Design, Templates, and Themes forum that is open to everyone.
