The new calendar in 7.3 no longer supports the list view. Please add it back as a display option. This is a common feature of other web calendars (e.g., Plans).

Is this a setting, as in "use list view instead of the normal view", or a url parameter, as in "provide list view in addition to the normal view". If it's a setting, a custom template would fill your needs. Shipping a general "Calendar Default List View" template with WebGUI would implement this feature.
If it's a url parameter, it would be a little more work. Although, it would be possible to link two calendars together using the
iCalendar export of one, and the "Feeds" tab of the other, and then set
one calendar to have a "List view"-like template (even though that is a
kludgy workaround).

In a previous incarnation of the Calendar (v6.8.9), there was an Events Calendar Template called "Events List". That's the idea. So including a Default Calendar List View would solve my problem. The example link I included was mostly for a comparison, not necessarily a request to be able to have a link to see a list view (though that would be a cool RFE, I'd consider it different from this one). Thanks, William

Please note that the current calendar does give the template access to more than one month's worth of events. We tried to create an Events List template, but we need to list events in the next 3 months. This was possible in the old calendar, but the new calendar only includes the events in the event loop if they fit into the "day", "week", or "month" requested.

Did you mean to put a NOT in that first sentence? This does pose a limitation on calendars which show very little data (which is why I want a list view to begin with). This should be added as a separate RFE. Have you done that?

If this could work with the current calendar in such a way as you could choose the list events as one of the views along with day, week, and month that would be great. It would allow for a full year's worth of events to be displayed and also allow the ical file to generate more than just the current month.

I've come up with a plan that should satisfy those who want a list view, and provide a mechanism to easily add new views to the calendar by subclassing. Depending on when this RFE is approved for submission, the list view will return.

This RFE was approved back in january. See the difficulty rating? If it's not 99999999 then it's been approved.

The Calendar list view was implemented in 7.5.4, but without a valuable template. Enter the contest to build a Calendar List View template, get it included into WebGUI, and get a boatload of Karma. Closing as implemented.

I'm delighted to hear that this has been implemented. Now, how do I get to it? I looked at the calendar settings and still see only Month, Week and Day for view options. The sites I'm working on are all hosted on Plain Black servers. Thanks
