I would love to be able to send an email automatically
to a new user when I (or a secondary admin) creates
their account. I have one site where I do not allow
anonymous users and I do not allow users to register
themselves. I would like an automatic way to let each
new user know that they have been given an account and
granted access to this part of the site. (It would be
fantastic to be able to include what their username and
password in the email).
My understanding is the "welcome Message" and "email
confirmation" features do not work if the user was
created by an admin. (From response to Bug #1471909).
It would be great if these features worked no matter
who created the account.
