If I read your post correctly you are creating or allready have a site that is a shop. You want your users to be able to see how much different versions of your product cost? Based on that assumption I would suggest to try the Commerce2.0 for that. You don't have to wait until 7.5 to get stable just to see if that is something you could use. The beta versions are an excellent place to test out new functionality.
