Is there a way other than writing a custom template to access files that have been attached to an article - that is basically by using a macro? I am thinking of images that have been attached to an article and are to be referenced from somewhere in the text.

Of course, I could attach files, save changes, copy cryptic upload URLs and then reference them manually. Not very convenient...

I don't think there is such a macro, but you don't need it anyway.

Just click on "Insert WebGUI Image", then in the popup screen go to the media folder (link in upper left corner). Upload your image (or any file type really). The url to the file will be "/media/" and then the filename. So if you uploaded the file "image.jpg" the filename will be "/media/image.jpg". Then use that url to make a link.

Hope this helped. Good luck.

Right. This is what I usually do. I was just wondering whether macros could be used more flexibly. This would allow to keep organization of embedded pictures simple. But thank you anyway.
