Hello. Just a quick question regarding a weird issue we're noticing happening with our website. We use a navigation menu that shows pedigree only from a specific page, embedded into the style template via AssetProxy. This is working wonderfully, except for when you get to a page that has multiple pagination, for example, an SQL Report. Once you click on the "Next Page" or any of ther numbered pages themselves, the navigation menu disappears on those pages.
If I view the source of those page, I can see the DIV tag where the menu should be, but there's nothing else listed. Any ideas as to why this may be happening? I'm a little stumped and would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!

Does the SQL Report have the same style template as the page that it is on?

Yes... all of the elements have the same style being used.

No thoughts/ideas as to how to fix this problem? I'm still completely stumped as to why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Interesting problem. I had some problems with disappearing navigations myself and never quite figured it out, so I'm curious.
You need to give some more info. Can you tell us what your page tree looks like? Does it work if you change any of the settings of the navigation?

Hi Rogier, thanks for the reply. Basically my page tree looks something like this:
- Home - E-Services - Online Payments - Document Center - FAQs - Customer Service - Data Records Search - One Page - Some other page - Visitors - Resources - Residents - More Resources
I have the SQLReport on the "Some other page" under Data Records Search. The Style Sheet for E-Services has an embedded indent navigation asset, with a start point of a specific url, a start point of "/e-services" (which is the url of the E-Services page), and relatives to include as "Pedigree".
This navigation works great for us because we don't want any of the sub pages under Data Records Search to display in the navigation until you're on the Data Records Search page. The first page of the SQLReport appears fine, with navigation and all, but any of the next pages have a blank area where the navigation menu should be.
At least I'm not the only one who's seen this before. Very strange stuff and I'd like for it to work correctly. Let me know if that makes sense to you. Thanks!

I can't reproduce this exactly, but in my quick test the nav does
disappear when I set the start point to "relative to current url".
Can't say I understand why, but pedigree seems to be very buggy.
Some
navigation bugs can be solved by setting a different start point. Try
this: change the start point type to "relative to root" and set start
point to "+2" (should be the level of the e-services page, I think). The start
point is the same page, just selected in a different way.
If that doesn't work, you could make a new style template with a new navigation for the SQL report only, with descendants. Not the most graceful solution, but it would work.
My choice though, would be to use a navigation with decendants instead of pedigree and use css and template vars (tmpl_if page.isCurrent, tmpl_if page.isAncestor) to display or hide the subpages. Let me know if you want me to explain.
Good luck.

Thanks Rogier for your help. Setting the nav to decendants instead of pedigree didn't solve the issue either. Very strange stuff. The only thing that does work is creating a separate style template for the sqlreport, so it looks like that's what I'm stuck with. Not what I was hoping for, but at least it works.
Hopefully this will be looked into by someone else and see why this "bug" is occurring, and hopefully come up with a fix/solution.
Again thanks for your help!

You're very welcome. Not the best solution I agree.
If you want someone to look into this you have to report it as a bug. You could create a WebGUI demo and if you can reproduce the problem there, it is definately a bug. Then post it with a detailed decription of how the bug occurs in the "report a bug" section.
