Hi,

as you know I am fighting on many fronts with WebGUI and I know I have still an other problem to solve. But we are in a kind of a hurry and my colleagues give me everyday a new wish to fulfill them. Here is my new question.

We want to publish a preview version of our WebGUI-site for testing, till it will be published officially in September this year. This preview site shall be reachable/readable only for registered users who are in the group "preview". Anyone else shall get the Login template.

What do I have to do to lock the whole site (anyway if they come from the frontdoor or from sup-urls) with one click? Or do I have to change the rights on every pagelayout?

Hi,

You can change the security settings for the whole site.

1. Go to the homepage
2. Click in the Admin Console on Assets and click on root.
3. Click on More for your homepage and select Edit branch
4. Go to the tab Security and set 'Who can view?' to the group you want your site visible for.
5. And the set Change recursively to Yes (readiobuttons directly under Who can view?)

With this you change the security settings for all the assets under the homepage. So not only pages but also articles, polls, Collaboration Systems, etc.
