If I use a prequery statement in an SQL report to set a variable, it doesn't work. I use this variable for an asset-id, like so: set @myvar := "(some asset-id)" The SQL report does work without using the prequery. Am i doing something wrong? Does anyone else have this problem? WebGUI version is 7.4.9 Thank you in advance, Rogier

I would post it as a bug. You've tried to get an answer off the boards, and no one is biting. Probably because not many people use prequery statements.

On etcetera you can find discussion thread related to this one:
http://www.webgui.org/etcetera/sql-report-how-to-use-prequery-statements
... and it seems that no one has yet reported a bug. If nobody else is willing (or has the time) to do it, I will... ;-)

You will have to add the SET statement to the allowed keywords for the db link you are using. If you are using the default db link you'll have to create an additional db link (because you cannot change the properties of the default db link) to the webgui db and use that for your query.
The reason that you cannot edit the default db link is that you can crash your webgui site if you set its parameters wrong.
